The Cardinal HCM Project recently informed our Project Sponsors and Steering Committee that the March 31, 2021 Release 1 implementation date will not be met. Given the interdependencies of critical tasks, significant difficulties encountered during deployment preparation, combined with challenges presented by the pandemic, it is in the best interest of the Commonwealth to delay implementation.

The Cardinal HCM Project team is working closely with the Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) and the Department of Accounts (DOA) to create a revised implementation schedule for Release 1 agencies. More information on specific tasks, training, and meetings will be distributed over the next several weeks. The Cardinal HCM Project team appreciates all of the work, support, and dedication agencies have shown throughout the project.
